At Fairshaw Rigg we offer a unique accommodation experience. Our expanded, fully refurbished, bedroom wing offers a choice of three en-suite rooms, alongside paddocks housing our prize-winning herd of black alpacas. Enjoy a peaceful and extremely comfortable night's sleep under a luxurious alpaca duvet, followed by a delicious Northumbrian breakfast, served in the new Orangery.
Our new accommodation, which is still all on the ground floor, now comprises:- A twin bedded room with a light and airy en-suite shower room and separate dressing area. A very spacious bedroom with king-size bed, en-suite shower room and dual aspect. A superior king-sized double bedroom with en-suite including bath and shower.
Your Northumbrian breakfast is served in the Orangery, and is a truly local affair. Eggs are from our own hens, meats are from neighbouring Haydon Bridge and Corbridge. Our bread and jams are homemade. Vegetarians are catered for by adding, for example, apple and potato rostis.
As well as our bed & breakfast business, we are passionate about reviving and strengthening the numbers of top quality black alpacas in the UK. Our ambition is to breed a superior herd of black alpacas which will rival the best of the white herds found in Britain today. You can visit our herd and experience these fascinating creatures for yourself during your stay.
