Something our guests like a lot is the private entrance to our bed and breakfast wing, allowing them to come and go as they please.
With plenty of parking space alongside, arrival and departure is simple and particularly suitable for less able people.
We made this our base camp for a long weekend exploring Hadrian's Wall. Outstanding hosts, beautiful and relaxing setting, spotless accommodation, and very cute Alpacas. We usually try to explore new B&Bs when we travel, but we will definitely be returning. Our highest recommendation. And I love my new Alpaca wool scarf!–Lynn G, Peterborough, United Kingdom
This B&B is much better than a lot of the hotels that I regularly encounter. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The bathroom was immaculate and well appointed. The owners are extremely hospitable and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Deserves its 5 star rating....–deskjet2, Bournemouth, United Kingdom
This is one of the most enjoyable B&B we visited in a 3 week period. The room and bath are a nice size and ultra clean. The breakfast featured homemade bread and a nice varity and all very delicious. Of course the Alpacs were an extra added treat. The owners are very friendly and enjoyable. The Inn is a modified old stone barn which makes it very interesting. No, there is no odor!.–87Hatteras, Naples,FL, USA
My wife and I stayed at Fairshaw Rigg on the final weekend of our holiday in May 2011. We had tickets for Take That at Sunderland. We enjoyed 2 wonderful nights here. Paul and Kathryn are perfect hosts with nothing being too much trouble including taking up fridge space with meat we had bought leaving Scotland. Our room was immaculately set out and clean.–AndyFea, Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom
